Relocating the Stock ECU 1) Referring to the pictures below, locate the vehicle’s stock ECU. 2) Disconnect the negative battery cable. 3) Disconnect the electrical connectors from the stock ECU. Avoid excessive stress or pulling on the wires, as this may damage the harness. Do not cut any of the wires in the factory harness to remove them. 4) Unscrew all mounting hardware and remove the stock ECU. 5) Relocate the stock ECU in a spot that best suits your needs.
