Download STEP #1 Evacuate A/C system: • Have your local Air conditioning shop remove the HFC-134a refrigerant from your A/C system. They can reuse your coolant. After the supercharger installation you will need to return the car to them and have them refill and charge the system. This service should cost approximately $80.00. STEP #2 Remove ECM and ship to Hondata: • Remove the battery. • Remove ECM cover (A). • Remove bolts (D), then lift up the ECM. • Disconnect the ECM connectors A, B, and C. • Remove ECM and ship to Hondata (see Address to right.) Download Cleaning procedure using a paper towel and grease remover or lacquer thinner, thoroughly clean area on car where the double face tape will come in contact with the painted surface. Do not allow thinner or cloth to remain on car too long as it can cause damage to the painted surface. Using either of the recommended adhesion promoters on a clean lint free cloth, apply a thin, uniform coating to the bonding surface, using the minimum amount that will fully coat the surface. Download Step #1 Disconnect Negative battery terminal Drain coolant from the radiator. Remove plastic engine covers. Disconnect Positive battery cable. Remove battery tie-down, battery & plastic battery tray. Remove stock air box lid, filter & air box bottom (A). Remove wiring harness from clip (B). Remove 6 mounting bolts (C), and remove the mounting bolt (D), then remove the tray base (E) and tray base bracket (F). Label & disconnect hoses from air inlet tube. Loosen clamp and remove tube. Fan shroud 1. Remove two bolts securing fan shroud to top of radiator. Pull fan shroud up and out of clips that secure fan shroud to bottom of radiator. Smog canister 1. Remove two bolts securing smog canister to passenger side fender well. Move canister about 5″ toward engine. Drill two new holes and install canister with stock hardware. Download Installing the Front “A” Emblem 1. Remove the two bolts that secure the left front bumper strake to the bottom of the front bumper and remove the bumper strake by sliding it sidewise. 2. Repeat step 1 to remove the right side bumper strake. 3. Remove the left side engine compartment cover (two pins and two tabs). 4. Remove the right side engine compartment cover (three pins and three tabs). 5. Open the engine hood. Remove the front bulkhead cover (three clips, two screw clips and two pins). 6. Download Attachment Tabs: Due to the design of the removable tabs, the RangeFinderII and Ambassador tow bars can not be used. Adapters, except the BX8833 and BX88151, can not be used with this baseplate. Installation Instructions: 1. Remove four pushpins from the radiator cover and lift to remove. Do this to both sides of the vehicle. Set pushpins and radiator cover aside to be reinstalled later. 2. Remove three pushpins from the top of the fascia. Do this to both sides of the vehicle.
