See DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK. After performing diagnostic system check, go to next step. 2. Turn ignition off. Spray right front wheel speed sensor jumper harness thoroughly with a 5 percent saltwater solution (2 teaspoons of salt to 12 ounces of water). Disconnect EBCM/EBTCM connector C1 (“W” body), connector C2 (“J” body, Cutlass and Malibu) or 32-pin connector (Achieva, Alero, Grand Am and Skylark). See EBCM/EBTCM LOCATION under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Using DVOM, measure resistance between speed sensor signal high circuit and speed sensor signal low circuit of EBCM/EBTCM connector. Edge Module and Sensor Wire Installation For trucks with fuse box in a different location, an alternate location for mounting will have to be found. One suggestion is to mount the Juice Module on the side of the air filter box. 1. It is strongly recommended when installing electrical devices that both batteries should be disconnected. Use a 13 mm or 8 mm wrench depending on battery style and remove the negative terminal cable end from each battery. 2. Place the Juice module on top of the fuse box as shown in figure 5. After the installation is complete you will use the supplied Velcro® to secure the Juice module to the fuse box. 3. This test is intended to diagnose: Exhaust Backpressure (EBP) Sensor • Wiring Harness Circuits (SIG RTN, VREF & EBP Signal) • Powertrain Control Module (PCM) • 1) DTC P0470 This DTC indicates PCM detected EBP sensor malfunction during KOEO ON-DEMAND SELF-TEST. Possible causes for this DTC are: Faulty EBP Sensor • Open Or Shorted Circuit • Faulty PCM • Ensure scan tool is connected to Data Link Connector (DLC). Using scan tool, select EBP PID from PID/DATA monitor menu. If EBP reading is less than 18.5 psi, clear DTCs. Repeat KOEO ON-DEMAND SELF-TEST . If DTC is still present, replace PCM. Disconnect the Mass Air Flow sensor: • (’03, ’04, ’06, ’07) Using a bit driver and the torques bit included unscrew the torques screws that hold the mass air flow sensor onto the air intake exit tube. Once the screws are out pull the mass air flow sensor out of the tube, disconnect it from the harness holder and move it aside while completing the installation. • 2005 The mass air flow sensor sits in a grommet that holds it in place on the intake exit tube. Remove the MAF sensor by simply pulling up on the sensor, then disconnect it from the harness holder and move it aside while completing the installation.
