Based upon stored fault codes for secondary air system, there is little or no flow of secondary air into engine. Typical causes for this issue are failed secondary air pumps and/or secondary air check valves. Secondary air pump should operate under normal circumstances when vehicle is first started to perform system test. Pump will normally be heard running when standing in front right corner of vehicle. 2. The secondary air pump is located in the right front of engine compartment. The following are my instructions for successfully installing xenon projectors in a 2006 Honda Civic Coupe. The process would be very similar for the Sedan or the Si, and could be easily modified for those models. Also included in this installation are instructions for installing xenon bulbs and ballasts in the Honda OEM foglights (if you have them installed on your Civic) as well as performing a clear corners modification (i.e. removing the diffusers). Since the clear turn signals modification also requires disassembly of the headlights, it makes sense to do it at the same time.
Headlight Assembly Removal Now that the bumper has been removed, the bolts that secure each headlight assembly are accessible and can be removed, along with the headlights themselves. There are four identical 10 mm bolts securing each headlight assembly, but there is one additional bolt (identical to the other four) and one body-colored bolt on each side that both need to be removed in order to get the assemblies out of the car (also 10 mm).… Read More

Download Models: 2001 Chevrolet Silverado, Suburban 2001 GMC Sierra, Yukon XL Equipped with 8.1L V8 (RPO L18 – VIN G) Engine. Condition General Motors has decided that a defect, which relates to motor vehicle safety, exists in certain 2001 model year Chevrolet Silverado, Suburban; GMC Sierra and Yukon XL model vehicles, equipped with an 8.1L V8 (RPO L18 – VIN G) engine. Some of these vehicles have a condition in which the crankshaft position sensor can fail intermittently or permanently. If the sensor fails intermittently, the Service Engine Soon (SES) light may illuminate and the vehicle may run rough. In addition, the engine may stall, and if so, may re-start immediately or after a cool down period. If the sensor fails permanently, the engine will quit running and will not re-start. Correction Dealers are to replace the crankshaft position sensor.
