2000-2003 Ford Focus 2.0L Zetec 21-450 COLD AIR SYSTEM Installation Instructions

Download The AEM Cold Air System differs from all others in several ways. We take the inlet air from outside of the engine compartment where the inlet air is considerably cooler than the hot underhood air. The cooler inlet air temperature translates to more power during the combustion process because cool air is denser than warm air. AEM has conducted extensive inlet air temperature studies and we have seen temperature reductions of up to 50 degrees by pulling air from outside of the engine compartment. The air mass flow to the engine is increased because of the increased airflow and reduced inlet temperature, which translates to more power. The AEM Cold Air Systems are 50 states Street Legal (some models and years still pending) and come with complete instructions for ease of installation. Read and understand these instructions BEFORE attempting to install this product. 1) Getting started a) Make sure vehicle is parked on a level surface.… Read More

Ford Mustang Fuel Injection Conversion

Download These instructions will provide the basic and necessary information to allow a carbureted 302 to be converted to SEFI Fuel Injection. There are several different types of fuel injection conversions available, however, this instruction will concentrate on the High Output, MASS-AIR setups found on the 92-93 Ford Mustangs. There are two main advantages to using this type of setup. The first advantage is that the computer in the MASS-AIR system will automatically compensate for any engine modifications that have been done prior to the installation of the fuel injection system. The second advantage is that fuel is sent to each cylinder individually only during the appropriate firing cycle, meaning that fuel is sent sequentially to each cylinder only when the spark plug is ready to fire. This makes for an extremely efficient firing cycle . SEFI stands for Sequential Electronic Fuel Injection. This system is complex to be sure, therefore, this instruction is going to skip all the technical mumbo-jumbo, and focus on the bare essentials to install this system properly.… Read More

2003 Ford Truck Expedition Suspension – Air Suspension Height Sensor Linkage Loose

Download FORD: 2003-2006 Expedition LINCOLN: 2003-2006 Navigator ISSUE Some 2003-2006 Expedition and Navigator vehicles equipped with an air suspension may exhibit an air suspension height sensor linkage arm disengaging from the suspension ball stud or height sensor rotating arm. This concern typically occurs with the rear sensor (Figure 1) but may occur with the front sensors as well. If this occurs, the symptom will typically be the vehicle leaning to one side, the vehicle sitting too low/high, a harsh ride, and/or an inoperative air suspension. In addition, this concern may result in diagnostic trouble code (DTC) C1725 (air suspension front pneumatic failure) or C1726 (air suspension rear pneumatic failure). ACTION When a linkage arm becomes disengaged, do not re-attach the arm and do not replace the sensor unless broken. Instead, install a revised linkage arm on all three (3) sensor assemblies, even if they have not detached from the ball stud.… Read More
