Please discard Corporate Bulletin Number 02-06-04-037E (Section 06 — Engine/Propulsion System). Condition Some customers whose vehicles are operated in dusty type environments, such as farming or mining off*road type applications, may comment about the illumination of the check engine light, with a DTC of P0446 (Restricted/Blocked EVAP Vent Path) being set. Cause Dirt and dust intrusion into the EVAP canister vent hose assembly, resulting in restricted air flow, may cause this condition. Download Part # 307-05-0290 Racing Intake Manifold for • 1999-2000 Honda Civic Si • 1997-2001 Acura Integra Type-R • 1992-1993 Acura Integra GSR • 1994-1997 Honda Del Sol DOHC VTEC. Removal 1. Relieve fuel pressure by loosening banjo bolt on top of fuel fi lter. Disconnect the fuel line at fuel rail. It is recommended that the washers be replaced. Next, disconnect the fuel injector harness holder and unbolt. Disconnect hoses from fuel pressure regulator (FPR). 2. Disconnect intake tubing/pipe from throttle body. Next, disconnect all hoses leading to intake manifold and throttle body, including throttle cable bracket on manifold. On throttle body, disconnect throttle positions sensor (TPS) and map sensor. 3. Unbolt manifold bracket from engine block and intake manifold. This bracket will not be used in assembly and installation. Remove intake manifold, throttle body, and fuel rail as one unit. Inspect intake manifold gasket. Replace as needed. Make sure to note all disconnect hoses and sensors.… Read More

Download Removal Procedure Important Clean the evaporative emission (EVAP) connections and surrounding areas prior to disconnecting the fittings in order to avoid possible system contamination. 1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information. 2. Remove the harness clip from the canister vent solenoid (CVS) line. 3. Disconnect the CVS electrical connector. 4. If the vehicle is equipped with a 6 ft box, disconnect the EVAP CVS line from the canister. 5. Remove the CVS clip from the frame crossmember. 6. Push in the retainer and remove the CVS from the fuel tank clip. 7. If the vehicle is equipped with a 8 ft box, disconnect the EVAP CVS line from the canister. 8. Remove the CVS clip from the frame crossmember. 9. Push in the retainer and remove the CVS from the fuel tank clip. Installation Procedure 1. If the vehicle is equipped with a 8 ft box, install the CVS to the fuel tank until the clip engages.… Read More

Download 1. Turn OFF the ignition. 2. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information. 3. Disconnect the electrical connector. 4. Remove the EVAP vent valve bracket bolt. 5. Remove the EVAP vent valve from the bracket. 6. Disconnect the vent hose from the EVAP vent valve. 7. Remove the EVAP vent valve. Installation Procedure 1. Install the EVAP vent valve on bracket. 2. Connect the vent hose. Canister vent hose should be routed below the fuel tank fill and vent hoses. Notice Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener.… Read More

Download The transmission solenoid/TRS assembly is internal to the transmission and mounted on the valve body assembly. The assembly consists of six solenoids that control hydraulic pressure to the six friction elements (transmission clutches), and the torque converter clutch. The pressure control solenoid is located on the side of the solenoid/TRS assembly. The solenoid/TRS assembly also contains five pressure switches that feed information to the TCM. OPERATION SOLENOIDS Solenoids are used to control the L/R, 2C, 4C, OD, and UD friction elements. The reverse clutch is controlled by line pressure and the position of the manual valve in the valve body. All the solenoids are contained within the Solenoid and Pressure Switch Assembly. The solenoid and pressure switch assembly contains one additional solenoid, Multi-Select (MS), which serves primarily to provide 2nd and 3rd gear limp-in operation. The solenoids receive electrical power from the Transmission Control Relay through a single wire. Download DTC P0442 Evaporative Emission (EVAP) System Small Leak Detected Refer to Engine Controls Routing Diagram, EVAP Control System Overview . System Description This DTC tests the evaporative emission (EVAP) system for a small leak. The control module monitors the fuel tank pressure (FTP) sensor signal to determine the vacuum decay rate. At an appropriate time, the control module turns the EVAP canister purge valve ON and the EVAP vent valve ON. This allows the engine to draw a vacuum on the EVAP system. At a calibrated time, or vacuum level, the control module turns the EVAP canister purge valve OFF, sealing the system, and monitors the FTP sensor input in order to determine the EVAP system vacuum decay. If the control module detects a leak larger than a calibrated amount, this DTC sets. Download SERVICE Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) Valve For PCV valve removal, refer to Routine Maintenance of this information. 1. Locate the PCV valve. With the engine running at idle, use pliers to pinch the PCV hose between the valve and the intake manifold. It should be possible to hear the spring loaded valve click shut. 2. If no click is heard, remove the valve from the engine but leave it connected to the intake manifold. A hissing sound should be heard and vacuum should be felt at the valve inlet. 3. If no vacuum is felt, remove the valve from the intake manifold hose. The engine should stall or almost stall. This will indicate a stuck valve or clogged hose. Check the breather hose for clogging or leaks and replace any defective parts. Tests/Procedures: 1. Check the RTD fuse located in the underhood fuse block. 2. Check for Battery Voltage (B+) on the Orange wire at the automatic level control air compressor pin F. 3. If less than B+ at pin F, check for a wiring and connection problem between the air compressor and the underhood fuse block. 4. Disconnect the compressor leveling module connector and check the resistance from the positive battery voltage circuit of the exhaust solenoid valve and the control circuit of the exhaust solenoid valve. Download Additional Parts List and Installation Notes for CRX Installation Parts Required • 95-95 Civic throttle body and gasket. • 92-95 Civic fuel rail (use 88-91 civic injectors). • 92-95 Civic throttle cable and bracket. • 88-91 CRX intake gasket. • 3 1/2 Feet of vacuum line. • 2 Feet of 3/8″ water hose for “IAC” (lines need to be lengthen). • 1 Vacuum line “T” (to re-connect purge control valve). Notes • There is no need to reinstall the fast idle valve; located on the drivers side of the rear of stock manifold ( there is no check engine light). • Due to engine mounting tolerances, the firewall may need to be clearanced. • The stock intake pipe will not fit. Unbolt (2) lower intake manifold bolts that secure the manifold to the engine block. This bracket will still be used to accommodate the heater bypass pipe.
