Download TOOLS & PARTS I USED – Mag-Hytec Ford 10.5 rear differential cover – Redline #57914 75W140 gear oil, 6 quarts – 1/2″ socket & ratchet (cover bolt removal) – Flat screwdriver – Torque wrench – Drain pan – Several rags – Plastic putty paddle – Small funnel – Lacquer thinner – 1/4″ allen wrench (new cover bolt install) PROCEDURE Here’s a few pics of the Mag Hytec cover. Its a very impressive cover, complete with additional oil capacity, a magnetic dipstick, a drain plug, a 1/8 NPT port (for a temperature sending unit), and an o-ring to seal to the rear diff case. Condition General Motors has decided that a defect, which relates to motor vehicle safety, exists in certain 2001 model year Chevrolet Silverado, Suburban; GMC Sierra and Yukon XL model vehicles, equipped with an 8.1L V8 (RPO L18 – VIN G) engine. Some of these vehicles have a condition in which the crankshaft position sensor can fail intermittently or permanently. If the sensor fails intermittently, the Service Engine Soon (SES) light may illuminate and the vehicle may run rough. In addition, the engine may stall, and if so, may re-start immediately or after a cool down period. If the sensor fails permanently, the engine will quit running and will not re-start. Correction Dealers are to replace the crankshaft position sensor. Download 2″ Lift 1992-96 F150 822 1992-97 F250*, F350* 822 3″ Lift 1992-96 F150 823 1992-97 F250*, F350* 823 Intake air duct 1. Remove intake air duct from top of radiator and throttle body. Fan shroud 1. Remove two bolts securing fan shroud to top of radiator. Pull fan shroud up and out of clips that secure fan shroud to bottom of radiator. Smog canister 1. Remove two bolts securing smog canister to passenger side fender well. Move canister about 5″ toward engine. Drill two new holes and install canister with stock hardware. This will allow the hose to reach the canister after cab has been lifted. Steering shaft (under dash) 1. Strap steering wheel to prevent accidental move- ment. 2. Description: The Edelbrock Performer X Turbocharging System is a complete Turbo Kit that gives 1996-2000 Honda Civic SOHC VTEC D16Y8 owners a 60-70 horsepower increase from turbocharging. The Garrett T-28 ball bearing turbo comes pre-assembled as one unit with a Ni-resist cast exhaust manifold and exhaust elbow, and inlet oil and water lines for the simplest possible installation.
