Download Additional Parts List and Installation Notes for CRX Installation Parts Required • 95-95 Civic throttle body and gasket. • 92-95 Civic fuel rail (use 88-91 civic injectors). • 92-95 Civic throttle cable and bracket. • 88-91 CRX intake gasket. • 3 1/2 Feet of vacuum line. • 2 Feet of 3/8″ water hose for “IAC” (lines need to be lengthen). • 1 Vacuum line “T” (to re-connect purge control valve). Download 1. Relieve fuel pressure by loosening banjo bolt on top of fuel fi lter. Disconnect the fuel line at fuel rail. It is recommended that the washers be replaced. Next, disconnect the fuel injector harness holder and unbolt. Disconnect hoses from fuel pressure regulator (FPR). 2. Disconnect intake tubing/pipe from throttle body. Next, disconnect all hoses leading to intake manifold and throttle body, including throttle cable bracket on manifold. On throttle body, disconnect throttle positions sensor (TPS) and map sensor. 3. Unbolt (2) lower intake manifold bolts that secure the manifold to the engine block. This bracket will still be used to accommodate the heater bypass pipe. Next, unbolt the manifold from the cylinder head. Remove the intake manifold, throttle body, and fuel rail as one unit. Inspect intake manifold gasket. Replace as needed. Download Acura GSR Whirlwind Intake Manifold Part No. 59002 (Polished) and 59003 (Satin) For use on 1994 – 2001 Acura Integra GSR 1.8L DOHC VTEC. Preparation for Installation – 1. Make sure that there are no metal chips or other debris inside the manifold. Check that all bolts will run freely into any tapped holes. 2. Note that while this manifold makes provision for all vacuum lines and other brackets or parts that attached to the stock manifold, the vacuum ports originally on the front side of the manifold have been moved to the back for a cleaner appearance. This will require the use of longer vacuum hoses in some cases. 3. Disconnect battery and drain coolant. 4. Mark and identify all hoses and valves. 5. Disconnect the ignition coil electrical connector and the noise suppressor electrical connector. 4. Disconnect the idle air control (IAC) electrical connector. 5. Oil-resistant, silicone based sealant, such as Permatex Silicone “Form-A-Gasket”, Dow Corning Silastic, or equivalent. D. Spray gasket adhesive, such as Fel-Pro’s “Spray Tack”, P/N 220. E. Download 1. Remove windshield wiper pivot arms. Remove cowl top vent panel retaining screws. Release cowl top vent panel retaining clips. Remove windshield wiper fluid hose. Remove cowl top vent panel. 2. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten bolts and nuts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . INTAKE MANIFOLD Removal 1. Remove cowl top vent panel.
