Download Draining 1. Bring the engine to normal operating temperature and turn the engine off. With the cooling system under pressure, inspect cooling system hoses and clamped hose connections for leaks, excessive deterioration or contact wear. Inspect radiator installation retention. Note any discrepancies and proceed. 2. WARNING: Never remove the pressure relief cap while the engine is operating or when the cooling system is hot. Failure to follow these instructions can result in damage to the cooling system or engine or personal injury. To avoid having scalding hot coolant or steam blow out of the degas bottle when removing the pressure relief cap, wait until the engine has cooled, then wrap a thick cloth around the pressure relief cap and turn it slowly. A clothes hanger can be used instead of actual Ford radio removal keys. Cut the clothes hanger and bend 2 pieces in the shape as shown in the photos above. Download Installation 1. Lower the tailgate and remove the access panel with a Torx T-30 driver. 2. Release the rod ends from the plastic clips of the scissor links by prying the yellow clasps up with a screw driver. 3. Remove the two 10 MM nuts holding the scissor bracket and remove it and remove the handle. 4. Pry the plastic dust cover from the handle and discard it. 5. Slide the LOCK BRACKET over the driver’s side stud on the handle and slide the EL over the passenger’s side stud of the handle. 6. Insert them into the tailgate from the outside. 7. Insert the scissor bracket into the tailgate from the inside. Tighten it down with a nut on the driver’s side. 8. Turn the lock counter clockwise with the slot in the horizontal position. Download 1. Remove the right and left frame side covers and the seat. 2. Unplug and remove the stock horn located behind the left foot peg. Re-route the horn wires up over the front cylinder head and to the rear. Next cut two pieces of wire 36″ long, strip both ends ¼”, crimp two male spade terminals to one end and two females to the other ends. Attach these wires to the stock horn wires and route them over the rear cylinder and behind the frame tube. The end of the wires should come out near the center of the left side cover area (see photo 1 A). Download Ford 4.0L (OHV) Upper Intake Manifold Assembly Removal & Installation Removal 1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. 2. I highly recommend taking the hood off. Mark where the bolts connect on the hood to ensure proper alignment upon re-installation. My trick was to use “white-out” to do this, comes with a nice little brush. 3. Remove the air cleaner outlet tube by loosening the clamp next to the MAF and the clamp next to the Throttle Body. 4. Disconnect the accelerator cable from the throttle body arm, and then unclip the accelerator cable from the speed control actuator cable. Move them out of the way. 5. Disconnect the vacuum hoses from the brake vacuum booster, EGR valve and crankcase ventilation hose. 6. Disconnect the wiring harness connectors from the EGR valve, the DPFE sensor, and the idle air control (IAC) valve. 7. Disconnect the DPFE sensor hoses. 8.
