They may also comment some instrument/radio displays are erratic. Upon investigation, the technician may find DTC C0900 set. If the displays were erratic, then DTC B1325 will also be set. Cause This condition may occur when the system voltage exceeds 16 volts for one second for code C0900 and the system shuts down to protect it from over-voltage operation. If the voltage exceeds 18 volts for five seconds for code B1325, then other electronic systems protect themselves and shut down. Download Vacuum Brake Booster Check Valve and/or Hose Replacement Removal Procedure 1. Disconnect the brake booster vacuum check valve (1) from the brake booster. 2. If the vacuum check valve (1) needs to be separated from the vacuum hose (3), release and reposition the clamp (2) on the vacuum hose (3) and remove the check valve (1) from the hose (3). 3. If replacing the vacuum check valve (1), remove the grommet (4) from the brake booster and discard the grommet. 4. If removing the vacuum hose (2), take note of the vacuum hose routing then disconnect from the engine intake manifold connection (3) by releasing tension on the vacuum hose clamp (1) and sliding the vacuum hose (2) off the intake manifold connection (3). See DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK. After performing diagnostic system check, go to next step. 2. Turn ignition off. Spray right front wheel speed sensor jumper harness thoroughly with a 5 percent saltwater solution (2 teaspoons of salt to 12 ounces of water). Disconnect EBCM/EBTCM connector C1 (“W” body), connector C2 (“J” body, Cutlass and Malibu) or 32-pin connector (Achieva, Alero, Grand Am and Skylark). The system is standard equipment on each of the applied vehicles listed above. The IVIS/NATS will not allow the engine to start without the use of a registered ignition key. Download PRODUCT ACCESSORIES DESCRIPTION The 1100F interface module is used when installing remote start products in Ford vehicles equipped with a factory immobilizer. The 1100F allows for easy interfacing between the remote start and the factory immobilizer, while maintaining the integrity of the OEM system. The factory transponder-based anti-theft system uses a small electronic chip hidden in the key to send a code to the vehicle’s transceiver when the ignition is energized. The key must be placed in the ignition and turned to the RUN position. This energizes a coil surrounding the key, which in turn energizes the chip, which sends a code to the vehicle. If the vehicle does not detect the code being sent, the vehicle will start and then immediately shut off or will just crank, and the anti-theft light will flash. The 1100F provides a valid code to the vehicle whenever it is remote started, but does not affect the immobilizer system during normal vehicle operation; the immobilizer system remains fully functional.… Read More
