Download Remove Factory Radio NOTE : To remove the Honda factory radio, (2) two screws at the rear of the radio must be removed from underneath the radio which can be accessed from behind the radio. The Honda radio is secured to the pocket below the radio and will pull out of the dash connected together as one unit. STEP 1 : Move to the passenger side of the vehicle. The screws that secure the radio/pocket assembly to the dash are at the rear of the radio. The only way to access these screws is to look up at the rear of the radio from the passenger side of the vehicle. Remove Factory Radio. STEP 1 : The clock unsnaps from the dash panel, but requires a very small flat head screwdriver or similar flat tool. Insert the tool into the side gap between the edge of the clock assembly and the dash panel. GENTLY, pry out that edge of the clock. Insert your fingers into the gap and pull firmly to completely remove the clock from the dash panel. Once the clock has been pulled out, unplug the plastic connector attached to the rear of the clock. STEP 2 : Once the clock assembly has been removed locate and remove one (1) phillips screw. STEP 3 : Look on the curved underside of the dash panel. Locate and remove two (2) phillips screws. STEP 4 : All screws securing the dash have now been removed. STEP 1 : The center dash console must be loosened and pulled away in order to gain access to screws securing the plastic dash panel surrounding the radio. Open the center console glove box. At the very bottom is a plastic panel that covers hidden screws. With your fingers or a flat head screwdriver, lift up and remove the plastic panel. Once the panel is removed, locate and remove two (2) phillips screws. STEP 2 : Lift open the drink tray door. Pull the drink tray up and pull it out of the center console.STEP 3 : Once the drink tray is removed, locate and remove three (3) phillips screws. (2) screws will be at the bottom of the panel, and (1) will be at the front left corner near the top of the opening. Vehicles without a factory amplifier: Connect the aftermarket radio’s front and rear speaker wires to the 22 pin plug (dock-n-lock connector) or 20 pin plug (ISO Connector). 3. Vehicles with a factory amplifier: To determine whether the amplifier needs RCA or speaker level input, check the OEM side of the 22/20 pin plug to see if the speaker wires are populated.
