Download Part 1- Configuring the Trailer Wiring Module As stated in the opening paragraph, and the disclaimer above, many trailing light wiring modules (and the one you probably purchased) are configured for installation on the driver’s side of the vehicle. The installer will have to cut the cables between the module and each pre-fabricated taillight connectors. Step 1.1 – Cut the wires between the module and each pre-fabricated taillight connector at a distance 3 or 4 inches from the module. This will leave you ample wire to re-connect them later, after the wires are run through grommets behind the bumper cover. Part 2 – Remove the Rear Bumper Cover (half way) and grommets. Although the rear bumper cover does not require complete removal, the beginner may wish to remove it to facilitate the routing of wires. At a minimum, all fasteners holding the bumper

An auxiliary 4-pin Park Harness (Part # GRDP6) will be needed and the Vehicle 1 Harness will need to be modified. Cut the Orange wire on the Vehicle 1 harness near the connector. Save the grommet, and discard the Orange wire. Locate the Ford gray 4-pin connector located above the transmission bell housing. Separate the connector halves and connect the gray “T” harness connectors from the GRDP6 Harness between them. Drill a 5/8″ hole in the bulkhead flange for the engine cover (see picture). There are several different types of fuel injection conversions available, however, this instruction will concentrate on the High Output, MASS-AIR setups found on the 92-93 Ford Mustangs. There are two main advantages to using this type of setup. The first advantage is that the computer in the MASS-AIR system will automatically compensate for any engine modifications that have been done prior to the installation of the fuel injection system. The second advantage is that fuel is sent to each cylinder individually only during the appropriate firing cycle, meaning that fuel is sent sequentially to each cylinder only when the spark plug is ready to fire.
