Download Part # 307-05-0290 Racing Intake Manifold for • 1999-2000 Honda Civic Si • 1997-2001 Acura Integra Type-R • 1992-1993 Acura Integra GSR • 1994-1997 Honda Del Sol DOHC VTEC. Removal 1. Relieve fuel pressure by loosening banjo bolt on top of fuel fi lter. Disconnect the fuel line at fuel rail. It is recommended that the washers be replaced. Next, disconnect the fuel injector harness holder and unbolt. Disconnect hoses from fuel pressure regulator (FPR). 2. Disconnect intake tubing/pipe from throttle body. Next, disconnect all hoses leading to intake manifold and throttle body, including throttle cable bracket on manifold. On throttle body, disconnect throttle positions sensor (TPS) and map sensor. 3. Unbolt manifold bracket from engine block and intake manifold. This bracket will not be used in assembly and installation. Remove intake manifold, throttle body, and fuel rail as one unit. Download 1. Turn OFF the ignition. 2. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information. 3. Disconnect the electrical connector. 4. Remove the EVAP vent valve bracket bolt. 5. Remove the EVAP vent valve from the bracket. 6. Disconnect the vent hose from the EVAP vent valve. 7. Remove the EVAP vent valve. Installation Procedure 1. Install the EVAP vent valve on bracket. 2. Connect the vent hose. Canister vent hose should be routed below the fuel tank fill and vent hoses. Notice Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. System Description This DTC tests the evaporative emission (EVAP) system for a small leak. The control module monitors the fuel tank pressure (FTP) sensor signal to determine the vacuum decay rate. At an appropriate time, the control module turns the EVAP canister purge valve ON and the EVAP vent valve ON. This allows the engine to draw a vacuum on the EVAP system. At a calibrated time, or vacuum level, the control module turns the EVAP canister purge valve OFF, sealing the system, and monitors the FTP sensor input in order to determine the EVAP system vacuum decay. If the control module detects a leak larger than a calibrated amount, this DTC sets. Download Models: 2002 and Prior Passenger Cars and Light Duty Trucks with Non-Enhanced and Enhanced EVAP Systems. Non-Enhanced EVAP System Diagnostic Procedure 1. Pinch off or plug the EVAP vapor line to seal the EVAP system. 2. Connect the EEST red battery clip to the positive (+) battery terminal. Connect the black battery clip to chassis ground. 3. Install the appropriate fuel fill cap adapter to the fuel fill pipe. Refer to the Service Information for the appropriate fuel fill cap adapter part number. 4. Connect the EEST’s nitrogen/smoke supply hose and vehicle fuel fill cap to the adapter. 5. Turn the nitrogen/smoke valve on the EEST control panel to SMOKE. 6. Use the remote switch to introduce smoke into the EVAP system for 60 seconds. Important: Additional smoke may need to be introduced at 15-second intervals until the leak source has been located. 7.
