Download kit Torx T-35 screwdriver Soldering iron Solder Heat gun or other heat source to heat shrink tubing Drill with 3/8″ bit Small wire cutters Wire strippers that go down to 20 gage wire Electrical Tape Drop or Flash Light Hanger for pulling wire Step Description Completed (check) 1 Place Telematics box in Service Mode. 2 Remove Fuse SB13. 3 Remove driver’s side trim and Telematics box from under carpet. 4 Disconnect wiring from Telematics box. Drill hole for wiring harness. Modify six connections on the 42 pin connector. 5 Install cover on 42 pin connector, plug into Telematics box, install Fuse SB13. Download Civic EX/Si 92-00, Del Sol Si/VTEC 92-95, Integra GSR/Type R 94-01,Prelude 97-01 S2000. Installation 1. Locate the original ECU. On most cars it is in the passenger side “kick panel” near the passenger’s feet. On the Prelude models, it is on the floor directly below the passenger’s feet. On the S2000 the ECU is located in the left side kick panel. 2. Locate the plugs needed for the VPAC wiring connections by looking at the illustration for your model and year. 3. Mount the VPAC using the “hook and loop” fastener tape to a convenient location on the dash or in the glove box. Route the wires to the ECU location. 4. Follow the instructions for your vehicle to complete the wiring. 5. Reinstall the ECU, ECU cover/kick panel/carpeting in the reverse order of removal. 6. Go have fun with your new VPAC. The MSD Enhancer Ignition system, PN KT4202, for the Honda TRX 250R ATV is designed as a complete system. No part may be substituted nor should any part be used with the stock ignition components. Note: To use the MSD Enhancer Ignition System the stock flywheel and stator assembly must be modified. This modification is not reversible.
MODIFYING THE STATOR Remove the stator assembly from the engine and secure it so it can be worked on without it moving. 1. Place the two black windings (with tape sealer) facing away from you (Figure 3). Locate the two black solder posts directly below the left black winding. The post to the left is the one we will be dealing with. This post may be coated with a black sealer. This will burn off when applying the soldering gun. Download Use the instructions that were included with the original Guardian or Guardian II kit, and make the following modifications: VEHICLE 1 HARNESS – 1997-2002 Econoline with Gas Engine and Transmission Code E or 9 only – This application will not have a Ford OEM Blunt cut wire for “Park”. An auxiliary 4-pin Park Harness (Part # GRDP6) will be needed and the Vehicle 1 Harness will need to be modified. Cut the Orange wire on the Vehicle 1 harness near the connector. Save the grommet, and discard the Orange wire. Locate the Ford gray 4-pin connector located above the transmission bell housing. Separate the connector halves and connect the gray “T” harness connectors from the GRDP6 Harness between them. Drill a 5/8″ hole in the bulkhead flange for the engine cover (see picture). Download 1999 Pontiac Grand Am SE 1998-99 BRAKES Anti-Lock/TCS – ABS-VI – Cars. DTC C1233: RIGHT FRONT WHEEL SPEED SENSOR CIRCUIT OPEN OR SHORTED 1. Perform diagnostic system check. See DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK. After performing diagnostic system check, go to next step. 2. Turn ignition off. Spray right front wheel speed sensor jumper harness thoroughly with a 5 percent saltwater solution (2 teaspoons of salt to 12 ounces of water). Disconnect EBCM/EBTCM connector C1 (“W” body), connector C2 (“J” body, Cutlass and Malibu) or 32-pin connector (Achieva, Alero, Grand Am and Skylark). See EBCM/EBTCM LOCATION under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Using DVOM, measure resistance between speed sensor signal high circuit and speed sensor signal low circuit of EBCM/EBTCM connector. On “W” body, resistance should be 1020-1137 ohms at 68°F (20°C). On “J” body, Achieva, 1998 Grand Am and Skylark, resistance should be 1530-1870 ohms at 68°F (20°C).
