Download Transmission Oil Cooler Line Quick Connect Fitting Removal Procedure Important: The front and rear sections of the cooler lines can be serviced separately. Refer to the appropriate steps when servicing individual lines. Perform the following procedure when removing the cooler lines from the quick connect fittings. 1. Pull the plastic cap back from the quick connect fining and down along the cooler line about 5 cm (2 inch) . 2. Using a bent-tip screwdriver, pull on one of the open ends of the retaining ring in order to rotate the retaining ring around the quick connect fining until the retaining ring is out of position and can be completely removed. 3. Remove the retaining ring from the quick connect fitting. 4. Discard the retaining ring. 5. Pull the cooler line straight out from the quick connect fitting. Disconnect the battery ground (negative) cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure in Engine Electrical. 2. Carefully disconnect the throttle body air inlet duct. 3. Download 1. Drain the coolant. 2. Remove the fan and shroud. 3. Remove the drive belt . 4. Using the J 41240, secure the water pump pulley and remove the water pump pulley bolts. 5. Remove the J 41240. 6. Remove the water pump pulley. 7. Loosen and remove the water pump bolts. 8. Remove the water pump. 9. Clean and inspect the water pump. 10. Discard and replace the gasket. Installation Procedure 1. Install a new water pump gasket. 2. Install the water pump and secure the water pump with the bolts. Tighten * On the initial pass, tighten the bolts to 4 Nm (35 lb in). * On the final pass, tighten the bolts to 10 Nm (89 lb in). 3. Install the water pump pulley. 4. DESCRIPTION: These high-efficiency intercoolers feature a bar and plate core with cast aluminum end tanks. Intercooler #15009 is designed for 1996-2000 Honda Civics, while #15036 is for 1992-1995 Honda Civics, and #15037 is designed for 1994-2001 Acura Integras. Modification of the stock bumper cover is required, aftermarket bumper covers may or may not need modification. Intercooler #15009 features a 22″long, 6″wide, 2.5″ thick core, while #15036 &15037 feature a 22″long, 5.5″wide, and 2.5″thick core. Hose connections for all intercoolers are 2.5″diameter.
1. Installation of the intercooler requires removal of the front bumper cover. Follow your factory service manual for removal and reinstallation of the bumper cover. 2. Download 2002 Hyundai Accent 1.6L, Vin C 2003 Hyundai Accent GS 1.5L Customer Concern: Difficulty filling the gas tank. The pump keeps clicking off. Tests/Procedures: 1. Disconnect the vapor line at the charcoal canister that comes from the liquid vapor separator and goes to the charcoal canister. See if the fuel tank can be easily filled then. 2. If the fuel tank can easily be filled with the vapor line removed from the charcoal canister, reconnect the vapor line and remove the other lines from the charcoal canister and see if the fuel tank can be easily filled. 3. If the fuel tank is once again difficult to fill, replace the charcoal canister. 4. Download Removal Procedure Important Clean the evaporative emission (EVAP) connections and surrounding areas prior to disconnecting the fittings in order to avoid possible system contamination. 1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information. 2. Remove the harness clip from the canister vent solenoid (CVS) line. 3. Disconnect the CVS electrical connector. 4. If the vehicle is equipped with a 6 ft box, disconnect the EVAP CVS line from the canister. 5. Remove the CVS clip from the frame crossmember. 6. Push in the retainer and remove the CVS from the fuel tank clip. 7. If the vehicle is equipped with a 8 ft box, disconnect the EVAP CVS line from the canister. 8.
