Remove Factory Radio NOTE : To remove the radio, the center dash panel surrounding the radio must be removed. There are three (3) phillips screws that secure this dash panel to the main dash assembly. However, (1) one of the screws is hidden behind the clock. STEP 1 : The clock unsnaps from the dash panel, but requires a very small flat head screwdriver or similar flat tool. Insert the tool into the side gap between the edge of the clock assembly and the dash panel. GENTLY, pry out that edge of the clock. Insert your fingers into the gap and pull firmly to completely remove the clock from the dash panel. Once the clock has been pulled out, unplug the plastic connector attached to the rear of the clock. STEP 2 : Once the clock assembly has been removed locate and remove one (1) phillips screw. Remove two console armrest mounting access covers (047A62) at rear of console panel (045A36) (snaps out) to gain access to armrest retaining bolts. 3. Remove four armrest-to-floor bracket retaining bolts and remove armrest assembly (snaps out of console). 4. Remove console panel gear shift plate (044G24) (snaps out). On vehicles equipped with manual transmissions, shift boot is attached to bottom of finish panel. Remove shift knob and slide boot and console panel gear shift plate up shift lever to remove. 5. STEP 1 : The center dash console must be loosened and pulled away in order to gain access to screws securing the plastic dash panel surrounding the radio. Open the center console glove box. At the very bottom is a plastic panel that covers hidden screws. With your fingers or a flat head screwdriver, lift up and remove the plastic panel. Once the panel is removed, locate and remove two (2) phillips screws. STEP 2 : Lift open the drink tray door. Pull the drink tray up and pull it out of the center console.STEP 3 : Once the drink tray is removed, locate and remove three (3) phillips screws. (2) screws will be at the bottom of the panel, and (1) will be at the front left corner near the top of the opening.
