2002 Duramax Not Heating Up
heat not working? Smoke Signals The shaft would have to break on mine in order to quit working cause it has a key in it and it has a stainless cap on the end with.
2002 duramax and the waste gate actuator is not opening. Won't even open with a load. Have replaced the heat sensors cause it was reading according to computer 40.
Just thought I would post a warning to all Silverado fans regarding a serious problem with the Duramax which can bite you even if you religiously maintain your vehicle..

(write down preset channels for later use) •Disconnect Negative battery terminal. •Remove battery positive terminal, tie down clamp, battery and plastic tray. •Remove engine cover around throttle body on intake manifold (A). •Remove stock air box lid and filter. •Disconnect Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor, remove upper intake hose and clamps (B). •Remove air box mounting bolts and nut. Rotate air box forward and out. Relocating the Stock ECU 1) Referring to the pictures below, locate the vehicle’s stock ECU. 2) Disconnect the negative battery cable. 3) Disconnect the electrical connectors from the stock ECU. Avoid excessive stress or pulling on the wires, as this may damage the harness.
