Download 2002 Hyundai Accent 1.6L, Vin C 2003 Hyundai Accent GS 1.5L Customer Concern: Difficulty filling the gas tank. The pump keeps clicking off. Tests/Procedures: 1. Disconnect the vapor line at the charcoal canister that comes from the liquid vapor separator and goes to the charcoal canister. See if the fuel tank can be easily filled then. 2. If the fuel tank can easily be filled with the vapor line removed from the charcoal canister, reconnect the vapor line and remove the other lines from the charcoal canister and see if the fuel tank can be easily filled. 3. If the fuel tank is once again difficult to fill, replace the charcoal canister. 4. If disconnecting the vapor line at the charcoal canister does NOT make the fuel tank easy to fill, then disconnect the vapor line from the liquid vapor separator at the fuel tank in case the vapor line is plugged/restricted.… Read More

Download Removal Procedure Important Clean the evaporative emission (EVAP) connections and surrounding areas prior to disconnecting the fittings in order to avoid possible system contamination. 1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information. 2. Remove the harness clip from the canister vent solenoid (CVS) line. 3. Disconnect the CVS electrical connector. 4. If the vehicle is equipped with a 6 ft box, disconnect the EVAP CVS line from the canister. 5. Remove the CVS clip from the frame crossmember. 6. Push in the retainer and remove the CVS from the fuel tank clip. 7. If the vehicle is equipped with a 8 ft box, disconnect the EVAP CVS line from the canister. 8. Remove the CVS clip from the frame crossmember. 9. Push in the retainer and remove the CVS from the fuel tank clip. Installation Procedure 1. Download 1. Turn OFF the ignition. 2. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information. 3. Disconnect the electrical connector. 4. Remove the EVAP vent valve bracket bolt. 5. Remove the EVAP vent valve from the bracket. 6. Disconnect the vent hose from the EVAP vent valve. 7. Remove the EVAP vent valve. Installation Procedure 1. Install the EVAP vent valve on bracket. 2. Connect the vent hose. Canister vent hose should be routed below the fuel tank fill and vent hoses. Notice Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener.… Read More

Download Vehicle Application: 2003 Cadillac Escalade 5.3L, Vin T, USA/Canada 2005 Chevrolet Suburban 1500 LS 5.3L, GAS, Vin T 2003 Cadillac Escalade EXT 6.0L 2005 GMC Yukon XL 1500 Slt 5.3L, FLEX, Vin Z 2005 Chevrolet Suburban 1500 LS 5.3L, FLEX, Vin Z Customer Concern: Code C0660 will reset. Tests/Procedures: 1. Check the RTD fuse located in the underhood fuse block. 2. Check for Battery Voltage (B+) on the Orange wire at the automatic level control air compressor pin F. 3. If less than B+ at pin F, check for a wiring and connection problem between the air compressor and the underhood fuse block. 4. Disconnect the compressor leveling module connector and check the resistance from the positive battery voltage circuit of the exhaust solenoid valve and the control circuit of the exhaust solenoid valve. Download 1. Remove windshield wiper pivot arms. Remove cowl top vent panel retaining screws. Release cowl top vent panel retaining clips. Remove windshield wiper fluid hose. Remove cowl top vent panel. 2. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten bolts and nuts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . INTAKE MANIFOLD Removal 1. Remove cowl top vent panel. See COWL TOP VENT PANEL . Release fuel pressure and disconnect fuel lines. See FUEL PRESSURE RELEASE & FUEL LINE CONNECTIONS . 2. Disconnect negative battery cable. Drain cooling system. Remove air cleaner assembly and heat tube. Disconnect control cables and linkage at throttle body. Disconnect accelerator cable bracket, and secure aside. 3. Disconnect necessary linkages at intake manifold. Disconnect wiring harness connectors, vacuum hoses, coolant hoses and PCV hoses as necessary. Remove heater tube with fuel lines attached. 4. Condition General Motors has decided that a defect, which relates to motor vehicle safety, exists in certain 2001 model year Chevrolet Silverado, Suburban; GMC Sierra and Yukon XL model vehicles, equipped with an 8.1L V8 (RPO L18 – VIN G) engine. Some of these vehicles have a condition in which the crankshaft position sensor can fail intermittently or permanently. If the sensor fails intermittently, the Service Engine Soon (SES) light may illuminate and the vehicle may run rough. In addition, the engine may stall, and if so, may re-start immediately or after a cool down period. If the sensor fails permanently, the engine will quit running and will not re-start. Correction Dealers are to replace the crankshaft position sensor. ACTIONS: 1. Replace the EVAP Vent Control S/V. 2. Install the Filter Kit (refer to the Service Procedure in this bulletin). 3. Clear any DTCs stored in the ECM. SERVICE PROCEDURE Replace Vent Control Valve 1. Replace the EVAP Vent Control S/V. • Refer to section EC in the Service Manual for replacement information. Install Filter Kit 1.
