Download Remove Factory Radio NOTE : To remove the Honda factory radio, (2) two screws at the rear of the radio must be removed from underneath the radio which can be accessed from behind the radio. The Honda radio is secured to the pocket below the radio and will pull out of the dash connected together as one unit. STEP 1 : Move to the passenger side of the vehicle. The screws that secure the radio/pocket assembly to the dash are at the rear of the radio. The only way to access these screws is to look up at the rear of the radio from the passenger side of the vehicle. With an 8mm socket or phillips screw, locate and remove the screws as can be seen in the photos shown in the NOTE to the left. Remove Factory Radio. STEP 1 : The clock unsnaps from the dash panel, but requires a very small flat head screwdriver or similar flat tool. Insert the tool into the side gap between the edge of the clock assembly and the dash panel. GENTLY, pry out that edge of the clock. Insert your fingers into the gap and pull firmly to completely remove the clock from the dash panel. Once the clock has been pulled out, unplug the plastic connector attached to the rear of the clock. STEP 2 : Once the clock assembly has been removed locate and remove one (1) phillips screw. STEP 3 : Look on the curved underside of the dash panel. Locate and remove two (2) phillips screws. STEP 4 : All screws securing the dash have now been removed. At the very bottom is a plastic panel that covers hidden screws. With your fingers or a flat head screwdriver, lift up and remove the plastic panel. Once the panel is removed, locate and remove two (2) phillips screws. STEP 2 : Lift open the drink tray door. These cables must be disconnected during installation to insure proper initialization of the DICE module when it is connected. 3. Remove any trim that may need to be removed to gain access to the screws/bolts holding the radio in place. On some vehicles, this may require removing the trim around the shifter and removing the coin and cup holders, finally getting to the trim surrounding the radio. 4.
