Download Subject: 01033 — Fuel Pump Resistor Models: 1997-1998 Buick Regal GS & Pontiac Grand Prix GTP with L67 3.8L V6 Engine (Located in the High Corrosion Provinces of Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, New Brunswick, Quebec and Ontario) Condition General Motors has decided that all 1997-1998 Buick Regal GS and Pontiac Grand Prix GTP model vehicles equipped with L67 3.8L V6 engines, located in the high corrosion provinces of Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, New Brunswick, Quebec and Ontario, may develop an electrical open in the fuel pump resistor. This condition prevents operation of the fuel pump and the engine will not run. Correction Dealers are to install a new resistor on the plenum with an aesthetic cover. Download 1999 Pontiac Grand Am SE 1998-99 BRAKES Anti-Lock/TCS – ABS-VI – Cars. DTC C1233: RIGHT FRONT WHEEL SPEED SENSOR CIRCUIT OPEN OR SHORTED 1. Perform diagnostic system check. See DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK. After performing diagnostic system check, go to next step. 2. Turn ignition off. Spray right front wheel speed sensor jumper harness thoroughly with a 5 percent saltwater solution (2 teaspoons of salt to 12 ounces of water). Disconnect EBCM/EBTCM connector C1 (“W” body), connector C2 (“J” body, Cutlass and Malibu) or 32-pin connector (Achieva, Alero, Grand Am and Skylark). See EBCM/EBTCM LOCATION under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Using DVOM, measure resistance between speed sensor signal high circuit and speed sensor signal low circuit of EBCM/EBTCM connector. Download 1. With the ignition key in the OFF position, disconnect the battery. 2. Remove the two (2) screws that attach the air inlet resonator to the upper radiator support. 3. Disconnect the upper and lower air inlet hoses from the resonator and remove the resonator. 4. Remove the air cleaner housing. 5. Locate the radiator cooling fan relay on the left front inner frame rail just behind the radiator (Figure 1). 6. Disconnect the radiator fan relay wiring connector. 7. Remove the radiator fan relay. Discard the relay and the attaching screws. 8. Install the new radiator fan relay using the supplied screws. Tighten the screws to 35 in-lbs (4 N.m). CAUTION: Do not over torque screws. To ensure heat transfer and proper operation, the new radiator fan relay must be installed using both of the provided screws. 9. Connect the radiator fan relay electrical connector.
