Download Removal of Factory Intake 1. Please read through the entire instruction sheet to familiarize yourself with the parts of the vehicle the installation will deal with. 2. Start the engine and check for loose connections or coolant/vacuum leaks. 3. Disconnect the negative battery terminal. 4. Remove the air filter duct, all vacuum hoses, water (coolant) hoses and electrical connectors from the stock throttle body. Mark all hoses and wires to ensure that they are installed correctly on the new throttle body. Note: Engine coolant may run from the hoses once removed. 5. Disconnect the throttle linkage by opening the throttle manually and slipping the cable from the cam groove on the linkage. 6. Remove the four nuts securing the throttle body to the intake manifold and remove it. 7. Remove the MAP sensor from the factory throttle body. Download 1. Relieve fuel pressure by loosening banjo bolt on top of fuel fi lter. Disconnect the fuel line at fuel rail. It is recommended that the washers be replaced. Next, disconnect the fuel injector harness holder and unbolt. Disconnect hoses from fuel pressure regulator (FPR). 2. Disconnect intake tubing/pipe from throttle body. Next, disconnect all hoses leading to intake manifold and throttle body, including throttle cable bracket on manifold. On throttle body, disconnect throttle positions sensor (TPS) and map sensor. 3. Unbolt (2) lower intake manifold bolts that secure the manifold to the engine block. This bracket will still be used to accommodate the heater bypass pipe. Download Acura GSR Whirlwind Intake Manifold Part No. 59002 (Polished) and 59003 (Satin) For use on 1994 – 2001 Acura Integra GSR 1.8L DOHC VTEC. Preparation for Installation – 1. Make sure that there are no metal chips or other debris inside the manifold. Check that all bolts will run freely into any tapped holes. 2. Note that while this manifold makes provision for all vacuum lines and other brackets or parts that attached to the stock manifold, the vacuum ports originally on the front side of the manifold have been moved to the back for a cleaner appearance. This will require the use of longer vacuum hoses in some cases. 3. Disconnect battery and drain coolant. 4. Mark and identify all hoses and valves. 5.
